Dr. Alex Poole is a native of Greensboro.  He is a graduate of South East Guilford High School and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1991.  He acheived a residency certificate in general practice from the Ralph Henry Johnson Veterans Administration Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina.

Dr. Poole is a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina State Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and is past president of the Guilford County Dental Society.

He resides in Greensboro with his wife, Lorie, a clinical pharmacist, and their three sons.  Other than dentistry, Dr. Poole enjoys sports, especially golf.  When not in the office, he can be found on the golf course.

Business Office

Laureen began her career in dentistry as a dental assistant 30+ years ago.  She has been with Dr. Poole since 1995. Laureen lives in Greensboro with her husband and teenage daughter.  Laureen is a huge movie buff and NC State fan.   

Bobbi has associate degrees in dental assisting and early childhood education.  She worked for Dr. Poole for 12 years.  Bobbi is married and has five children and thirteen grandchildren.  She enjoys spending her free time camping, riding Harleys and watching her grandchildren play.

 

Assistants

Deena, CDA, is a graduate of Trident Community College in North Charleston, South Carolina. She has worked  with Dr. Poole since 1995.  Deena is married and has two teenagers.  She enjoys playing with her two dogs, reading and camping.

Karen, CDA, is a graduate of Alamance Community College, Graham, North Carolina.  She has been with Dr. Poole for 7 years.  Before coming to Dr. Poole, she worked for many years in endodontics.  Karen is married and has two sons.

 

Hygienists

Leanne, RDH,BA, is a graduate of Quinsigamond Community College, Worcester, Massachusetts and has a degree in Forensic Biology from Guilford College, Greensboro, North Carolina.  She has worked with Dr. Poole for 11 years. She has two sons and three grandchildren.  Leanne loves to read, garden and travel.

Linda, RDH, is a graduate of Guilford Technical Community College, Jamestown, North Carolina and holds a Public Health Education Degree from the University of North Carolina in Greensboro.  She has been working in dentistry for 20 years.  Linda is married with two children.  She enjoys family activities, pets, gardening, and travel.
